Magnificent Monarchs, Migration & Metamorphosis
Magnificent Monarchs, Migration & Metamorphosis is my Christmas special 80th episode of Late Bloomer. Photographed over the course of four years, but mainly from 2012, I have passionately nurtured the Monarch butterfly in the Late Bloomer garden. I hope you will watch and share with friends, teachers and schools, and community groups. Spreading awareness is key to their survival.
This is from an online garden friend, and I share her passionate comment in hopes of inspiring you!
I planted 100 native milkweed plants from a local greenhouse and they did well, but no flowers. They told me it can take a few years to establish. But much to my surprise (!!), my dirt road was peppered with milkweed this past summer, LOL! That is, until the road commission came and mowed it down . 🙁 But I stood my ground and they didn’t get my 575 feet of road frontage. 🙂 One small step for my land; hopefully a large “Keep” for our butterfly friends. – Daisy Jo, Michigan
I hope you enjoy Magnificent Monarchs, Migration & Metamorphosis, and share! Thanks for watching! – Kaye
